Six Portuguese films, or Portuguese co-productions, have been selected for the official competition at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, which begins on Friday in France.
In international competition there are three animated films: the award-winning “Ice Merchants” by João González, “O homem do trash” by Laura Gonsalves, and the film “Slow Light” by the Poles Przemysław Adamski and Katarzyna Kizek. , co-produced in Portugal by Cola Animation, Bruno Caetano.
In the international competition there are also two novels “As sacrificed” by Aurelie Oliveira Bernier and “A piece of avocado” by Ari Zara.
In the remaining program announced by Clermont-Ferrand, in the Lab competition, the film “Please make it work” by Daniel Soares, filmed in 2021 in a house in Locarno, Switzerland.
Clermont-Ferrand, the largest festival dedicated to short films, runs until February 4 and presents an official poster of the Portuguese filmmaker and illustrator Regina Pessoa.
